2 Product description
The mounting kit is used to attach and position the head support. The
height, depth, and vertical and horizontal angle of the head support are indi­
vidually adjustable via clamping levers (see Page 29).
3 Intended use
The safe use of the product can only be ensured in case of intended use in
accordance with the information contained in these instructions for use. The
user is ultimately responsible for accident-free operation.
3.1 Indications for use
The product is intended
exclusively
for use on wheelchairs and seating
shell mobility bases with seating solutions.
The product is intended to provide support for or optimise the seating posi­
tion. It permits adaptation of the seating shell/seating system to the individu­
al needs of the user.
The product is suitable for users with intact skin whose anatomy (such as
body dimensions and weight) permits the intended use of the product.
Depending on the product that is used, additional accessories may be
needed for the intended use. The prerequisites for safe installation, adjust­
ment and use are described in the instructions for use of the respective
product and must be met in all cases.
The products must be replaced exclusively with original parts from the manu­
facturer. All information in the instructions for use of the products that are
used must be observed for combinations with other products. Ottobock
assumes no liability for combinations with medical devices and/or accessor­
ies from other manufacturers not included in Ottobock's modular system.
Combinations based on a combination agreement that have been evaluated
for effectiveness and safety are an exception to this.
3.2 Area of application
The accessory is used in combination with a head support (430H1=*,
430H2=*) or a head/neck support (430C1/2/3/4=*) in order to support posi­
tioning of the head and neck. Observe the instructions for use of the
respective support to ensure safe installation, adjustment and use.
The product is suitable for users with a body weight of up to
200 kg
[440 lbs] . We assume no liability if the maximum permissible user weight is
exceeded.
