Thermal overloading of the product
Damage due to improper thermal treatment
►
Do not carry out any heat treatment at a temperature above 300 °C
(570 °F).
► Prior to thermal treatment, remove all temperature-critical components
(such as plastic parts).

Exposure of the product to unsuitable environmental conditions
Damage, brittleness or destruction due to improper handling
► Avoid storage in condensing ambient humidity.
► Avoid contact with abrasive substances (e.g. sand, dust).
► Do not expose the product to temperatures below -10 °C (14 °F) or
above +60 °C (140 °F) (e.g. sauna, excessive sunlight, drying on a
radiator).
5 Preparation for use

Corrosion protection
The system side bars and system knee joints are resistant to corrosion.
Finish grinding and polishing increase the protection against corrosion.
Use sintering powder (e.g. 618T40) for coating.
Adjusting the knee angle
1) Insert the lock plate. The bevel must face in the anterior direction when
doing so.
2) Place the bolt on the lock plate. The bolt can be turned by up to two
locking positions on the toothed lock plate. This changes the angle stop
for the knee.
3) Insert the joint screw into the lock plate and tighten it (torque:
12 Nm
).
Gluing the system side bars
The following connecting elements are to be used for the system connection
plugs:
System side bar set 17B38=*, 17B39=*, 17B40=*, 17B41=*, 17B84=*,
17B85=* (*= system bar width of 16 or 20 mm)
System lamination joint bars 17Y128, 17Y129
