PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
In this section there are gathered all the directions required to carry out the
preventive maintenance operations of the Battery Charger.
5.1
INTRODUCTION
The preventive maintenance operations required for the battery charger (without
considering the model) can be essentially summarized in a periodical control of the
general status of the device and its cleaning.
The tools and consumable materials needed for the maintenance operations are
described together with the procedure to be followed for the interventions.
All the information needed are gathered in the PM form (Preventive Maintenance
form).
5.2
MAINTENANCE LEVEL DEFINITION
Maintenance concerns all the actions aimed to maintain or restore the operativity.
Maintenance can be preventive (scheduled maintenance) and corrective
(unscheduled maintenance).
In order to schedule maintenance interventions it is necessary to divide
maintenance into levels according to the technical characteristics of the equipment.
The maintenance levels specify “what”, “how” and “by whom” maintenance has to
be carried out.
Three maintenance levels are defined:
•
I: Equipment Maintenance Level.
•
II: Module Maintenance Level.
•
III: Component Maintenance Level.
In a TETRA system we can define for example:
•
Equipment:
any radio terminal (handheld, vehicular or fixed).
•
Module:
a Base Band of TTU400 of the Base Station BS400.
•
Component: any part of a module (e.g. an IC).
