9.22.9.3 Warning Messages Related
to Device Errors
Device related errors are those which
are probably caused by a malfunction of
the pulse generator itself. (Some may
also have external reasons.) Errors of
this kind result in a warning message in
the lower display, accompanied by an
acoustic error signal which will be re-
peated periodically. The warning mes-
sage alerts the user about the problem.
It appears after recognition of the error
and disappears only after confirmation
by the user, i.e. device related error
messages
must
be confirmed. (The
acoustic error signal will, however, cease
when the error is no longer present.) The
user must confirm the error message by
pressing the key
Unlock/Lock
. Confir-
mation causes the text message to dis-
appear and the acoustic signal to cease.
If an error is detected when the lower
display is switched off, the acoustic
signal is then the only available warning.
A first press of the key
Unlock/Lock
switches the lower display and the back-
light on, and unlocks PACE 203H. The
error warning message is now visible.
This is despite the fact that the error is
no longer present. A second press of the
key
Unlock/Lock
then confirms the error
message.
If an error is detected when the lower
display is switched on but the device is
locked, a first press of the key
Un-
lock/Lock
switches the backlight on and
unlocks PACE 203H. A second press of
the key
Unlock/Lock
then confirms the
error message.
If the error persists, the warning mes-
sage will reappear after confirmation.

sages.
