10 Storage
The storage temperature range of
PACE 203H is
-20°C (-4°F)…+60°C (+140°F).
Note that the device must be within the
operational temperature range before
use (+10°C (+50°F)…+45°C (+113°F)).
The enclosed connector cables are
sterilized prior to shipment. They are
packed in double transparent sterile
packages.
The sterilization method is ethylene
oxide gas.
The sterility is guaranteed as indicated
by the expiration date, if the package is
not damaged and properly stored.
The sterile connection cables must be
stored in a dry, cool place at tempera-
tures between 10°C (50°F) and 25°C
(77°F). Keep out of direct light.
If damage to the package is detected
before use, the cable must be repacked
in a gas-permeable container and re-
sterilized with ethylene oxide gas at a
maximum temperature of 50°C (122°F)
and a maximum overpressure of 1.7 bar.
Sterilization must be accomplished in
accordance with the instructions of the
gas sterilizer manufacturer. After sterili-
zation, aerate the items before use to
permit escape of residual ethylene oxide.
Warning
: Connector cables intended for
single use must not be re-sterilized after
use.
Warning
In case PACE 203H is not to
be used for longer periods of time, the
battery must be removed in order to
prevent damage from possible battery
acid leakage. Damage because of a
leaking battery is not covered by the
manufacturer’s guarantee.
