GENEraL aPPLIcaTIoN
1 Place the forearm into the SmartSling at a 90° angle, seating the
elbow snugly in the corner pocket of the sling. The installed elbow
pillow can be removed, if necessary, to improve the fit and comfort.
2 Place the thumb through the thumb loop. The thumb loop can be
repositioned for an improved fit and increased comfort.
3 Close the top flap to secure the sling.
Note: right arm application is shown in the photo.
For left arm application, the flap will fold towards the body.
4 Place the adjustable strap around the neck and fasten it to the sling
via the quick-release buckles.
5 Position the gusseted chamois neck pad where it is most
comfortable.
6 If necessary, adjust the shoulder strap from the front (shown here)
or back (not shown). If the strap is too long, consult the section on
Trimming Straps.
ImmobILIzaTIoN
7 Locate the pocket on the side of the sling facing towards the body.
Connect the immobilizer strap to the buckle located in the pocket.
8 Pull the immobilizer strap around the back and feed it through the
loop located on the elbow end of the sling.
9 Pull the immobilizer strap back in the opposite direction —on top of
itself — and fasten it snugly to itself. If the strap is too long, consult
the section on
Trimming Straps.
abducTIoN
10 Attach one of the included double-sided hook strips to the loop
material on the side of the sling facing the body.
11 Position the abduction pillow between the body and the sling, using
the hook strip installed in step #1 to connect the sling to the pillow.
12 If desired, the underarm pillow can be used to provide additional
support.
13 Pull the abduction pillow strap around the back and attach it to the
abduction pillow via the quick-release buckle located on the front of
the pillow.
14 The abduction pillow strap can be adjusted to obtain the desired fit.

TrImmING STraPS
15 All straps on the SmartSling feature alligator clips for easy strap
trimming. If any strap is too long, simply remove an alligator clip,
trim the strap to the desired length and replace the clip.
