SECTION 4 - MACHINE OPERATION

Traveling Forward and Reverse

1.

At Platform Controls, pull out Emergency Stop switch,
start engine, and activate footswitch.

2.

Position Drive controller to FORWARD or REVERSE as
desired.

4.5 STEERING

Depress the footswitch to steer machine, push switch left to
steer left, to the right, to steer right.

BEFORE OPERATING MACHINE, MAKE SURE UPPER BOOM IS POSI-
TIONED OVER REAR AXLE. IF BOOM IS OVER FRONT AXLE (STEER
WHEELS), STEER AND DRIVE CONTROLS WILL MOVE IN OPPOSITE
DIRECTION. THE DIRECTION WILL MATCH THE ARROW DECAL OF THE
HAND CONTROLLER WITH THE ARROW DECAL ON THE FRAME.

4.6 PARKING AND STOWING

Park and stow machine as follows:

1.

Park machine in travel position; boom lowered over rear,
all access panels and doors closed and secured, igni-
tion off, turntable locked.

2.

Check that brakes hold machine in position.

3.

Chock wheels front and rear.

4.

Turn off SELECT switch and remove key.
