GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
This product is a lateral fixation device to attach the AIO 3.0
base plates with a width of 530mm to (non-indexed)
couch tops
with a width of 530mm
.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This fixation device features two positioning blocks that can be
attached on both sides of the AIO 3.0 base plate that have a
width of 530 mm (#38009). This fixation device is specifically
designed to fix the baseplates
laterally
on any treatment couch
with a width of
530mm
. To obtain a highly reproducible patient
position, it is required to use 2 sets (1 set at the cranial position
and 1 set at the caudal position) or 1 set cranially in
combination with an indexing bar at the caudal end of the base
plate.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The blocks of this lateral fixation device have a circular recess
on the inside that fits over the bulbs of the Prodigy
™ and
Pinpoint™ style indexing systems.
Mount the indexing
blocks to the side of the base plate using
the plastic countersunk M6 x 20 screws. You will need a Philips-
head screwdriver to turn the screws. Do not excessively tighten
the screws as they are made out of plastic.

It is possible to use 2 sets of these fixation devices on the AIO
3.0 base plates for lateral fixation on any 530mm wide couch
top. See picture below.
Never do this when the baseplate is
hanging over the edge of the couch.
For indexed couches, always use a set of the AIO 3.0 Lateral
Fixation Device (or an additional secondary set) in combination
with a 2-pin bar at the caudal end to ensure a longitudinal
fixation. See picture below.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Do not use the lateral fixation devices on its own when the base
plate is in overhang off the couch top! The lateral fixation
devices do not provide a safe fixation for base plates in
overhang situations.
Make sure the screws are tightened so there is no play of the
base plate during setup and treatment. Ensure the lateral
fixation devices are not overhanging the couch laterally.
The plastic screws can be damaged if excessive force is used
during assembly with a screwdriver.

STORAGE
Always store the products in a safe place to prevent it from
getting damaged.
Store the product b10°C (50°F) and 40°C (122°F).
