IP Settings Guidelines 

IP Address 

Use an IP address that is unique to and valid on your network.  

Note:

 Enter the IP address in dot-quad notation. Do not use leading zeros in 

the fields for dot-quad numbers less than 100. For example, if your IP 
address is 172.19.201.28, do not enter 028 for the last segment. 

Subnet mask 

The subnet mask is the network segment where the device is located. No 
default exists. The subnet mask automatically displays based upon the IP 
address you entered; you can, however, change it. 

Default gateway 

IP address of the router for this network
