: The output of the Optimod’s separate low-delay monitor processor,

which is based on the Ultra-Low-Latency processing structure.

Because this is not a signal that is broadcast,

help diagnose talent complaints about the quality of the monitor signal,
particularly with regard to the amount of “FM clipper” sound as set by

Icecast2 (which

mode also uses) supports the MP3 and Opus codecs.

SHOUTcast2 only supports only MP3.

According to listening tests done using the ABC/HR methodology, at a
given bitrate Opus sounds better than MP3 for most program material:

highest bitrate practical for your network connection. We recommend 256
kbps for MP3 and 128 kbps for Opus.

provides a small Icecast2 server running inside the Optimod, but

without support for any metadata like artist, title and similar. There is al-
so no support for Yellow Pages, so this cannot be a public stream. This is
the most convenient streaming mode to observe the Optimod's audio be-
cause it does not require setting up an external SHOUTcast2 or Icecast2
server.
