Install the Backplane Power Cable

Installing a cable is a cold-service operation. You must power off the server before installing the

cable.

Consider your first step.

■

If you are replacing a cable, remove the faulty or obsolete cable first, then return to this

procedure,

If you are installing a cable as part of another component's removal or installation

procedure, go to

Step 2

Connect the backplane power cable to the motherboard connector.

Route the cable into the cable clamp and against the chassis wall.
