Appendix A - Software Upgrade Procedure
Download the PV200 upgrade ZIP file from the
page of the
website.
Save the ZIP file to a USB flash drive.
When the flash drive has been fully loaded onto the USB flash drive, do the procedure that follows:
1. Put
DIP-Switch 1
of SW 1 in the
ON
position. The PV200 Terminal Setup screen will open on the
front panel.
IMPORTANT:
The unit will not operate if Switch #1 and Switch #8 are both in the ON position.
Switch #8 is used to put the screen in Test Mode. Make sure all switches are in the OFF
position before you move Switch #1 to open the Terminal Setup screen.
2. Push the
Reset
(SW3) button.
3. Select
option 9, Utilities
from the Terminal Setup screen. The Utilities screen will open.
4. Select
option 2, Firmware Upgrade
from the Utilities screen.
5. Put the flash drive into the
left USB socket
(J7) on the main board. Push
Enter
on the front panel
keyboard.

The green LED (D21) under the flash drive will blink for several minutes. Wait for the files to
load from the flash drive.
l
When the software is loaded from the flash drive to the compact flash card, the system will reset
automatically.
6. The red LED (D1) adjacent to the SW1 DIP-Switch block will flash for approximately a minute. The
system will reset again and the new version will run in the configuration mode (because switch 1 is
still on).
7. Remove the flash drive.
8. Put
DIP-Switch 1
of SW 1 in the
OFF
position.
9. Push the
Reset
(SW3) button. The unit will go back to normal operation.
This completes the software upgrade procedure.
