4.7 PROFIBUS access
M12 device socket
The M12 device socket is coded inversely and has 5 pins. Pin 1 and pin 2 transmit the signals of the
Profibus. These must under no circumstances be exchanged, otherwise the communication is disturbed. Pin
2 tra5 VDC and Pin 4 transmits GND for the active terminator. These may under no circumstances
be used for other functions as this may destroy the device. Pin 5 has no function.
The thread carries the shield, which is capacitive connected to the base of the housing box.
