are ready to make calls through the mobile network.
To change telephone settings from the GlobeSurfer
®
II management
console:
> Click on ‘System setup’ and ‘Telephone’ and you can access the
telephone settings and see the Missed, Incoming and Outgoing
calls.

You can access and browse the Internet through GlobeSurfer
®
II and
use your e-mail just as if your computer is always connected. If the
GlobeSurfer
®
II does not connect automatically, then use the checklist
below to connect your GlobeSurfer
®
II to the Internet.
• Step 1
Make sure that the power adapter is connected, the GlobeSurfer
®
II unit
is on and the SIM card is inserted correctly.
• Step 2
Open an Internet browser on your computer and click the bookmarked
link to GlobeSurfer
®
II, or type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
Note: If this does not work make sure that your computer is connected
to GlobeSurfer
®
II using either LAN or WLAN. If you are uncertain, check
the ’Network Connections’ in ’My Network Places’ or in the Windows
®
Control Panel.
• Step 3
Enter the PIN code, if requested, and click ‘OK’.
1. The ‘Connection Status’ window is displayed.
2. Click ‘Connect’, or press the connect button on the top of your
GlobeSurfer
®
II, to connect to the Internet.
‘UMTS connected’ (or ‘GPRS connected’) is displayed on the
GlobeSurfer
®
II display when the connection is established and
‘Connected’ is displayed in the Connection Status window. You are now
connected to the Internet and you can open a new browser window and
start surfing on the Internet.
Note: No need to login to make phone calls or surf on the Internet.
If you want to change settings or to send or read SMS text messages
then you have to login to GlobeSurfer
®
II.
