Perfect Pick® Cortex™ Operator Manual

OPEX Corporation

4.3. Operating the Cortex system

With the Cortex system, iBOTs pull totes from storage locations in the Perfect
Pick, and delivers the totes to the operator at the pick station. The Workstation
User Interface (WUI) displays which item in the tote is needed to fulfill an order.
The operator then picks the specific item(s) from within the tote and places it/
them in order-requested containers located on the Workstation or a similar
conveyor.

The operator could also be presented with a “Put-Away” screen, which is used
for restocking inventory. In this situation, an empty (or near empty) tote is
presented to the operator to be refilled. Items to replenish are delivered to the
operator on the workstation/conveyor, and the monitor shows the location
within the iBOT-delivered tote to restock the item(s).

However, functionality should be identical.
