4.6 Encryption (Menu 3)
The TD2u can encrypt destinations using whole disk encryption. All data stored on the
destination is encrypted and hosts will only read seemingly random data until it is
decrypted. Decrypting the data requires special decryption software/hardware and
knowledge of the password used for encryption. On Windows, the publicly available open
source program, VeraCrypt, can read disks encrypted by TD2u. However, drives
encrypted first by VeraCrypt likely cannot be used by TD2u without re-encryption.
