Error Messages and Corrections
This section lists the error messages displayed on the screen and the measures to take.
The ERROR output terminal will turn ON for the error messages marked with this symbol.
Error Messages when Reading Fails
Error message Measure to take Reference
Communication error End Controller operation and turn OFF the power supply. Then
check the following items and try operation again.
• Is the cable wired correctly?
• Are the communications specifications of the Controller the same
as those of the host?
• Is the host operating correctly?
Reason:
Data transfer was cancelled because an error occurred in the com-
munications functions of the host. If the error persists after checking
the above, the Controller may be broken. Consult with your OMRON
representative.

Host Link error Check the following items and then restart the Controller or change
the Interface setting under System Set./Com Mode to Host Link .
• Is the cable wired correctly?
• Are the communications specifications of the Controller the same
as those of the host.
• Is the PLC started?
* The Interface will automatically be returned to Normal when this
error occurs.

Lack of Memory Card capacity • Delete unnecessary files to create space.
• Replace the Memory Card with one with a larger capacity.

Loaded file format error • There is an error in the format of the data. -
Memory Card access error • Mount a recommended Memory Card that has been formatted. p. 52
Received data format error Select the correct file and try transferring it again.
Reason:
An incorrect file was selected.

The camera is disconnected • Check the Camera Cable to be sure it is connected and not bro-
ken.

2D code is not found Check a live image to be sure that the 2D code is shown on the
