Communication with the Host
Trigger Input and Output Formats
 Trigger Input
The trigger inputs are TRIG A, TRIG B, TRIG C, and TRIG D. In the MON / RUN mode, reading is
executed in accordance with input to these signals.
Signal Description
TRIG A
(One shot
reading) One reading against the currently displayed scene is performed on the rising edge (OFF to
ON) of the TRIG A signal.
Correct Reading: Reading ends, then reading judgement is output.
Incorrect Reading: Reading continues to be performed for the number of retries specified in
Reading settings / Number of Retries .
Setting the Number of Retries: Refer to page 112 (Sec.5).
As the TRIG A signal is synchronous with the shutter input of the Camera, an accurate
image of the moving object can be obtained.
TRIG B
(Continuous
reading/Level
trigger) The currently displayed scene is either continuously read or read until an OK reading
judgement.
TRIG B input invalidates the
Reading Settings / Number of Retries setting.
TRIG B changes in the way shown below in accordance with the trigger mode in the com-
munications setting menu.
Continuous reading Performs continuous reading while the TRIG B terminal is ON.
Level trigger Repeats reading until an OK (readable) reading judgement is out-
put while the TRIG B terminal is ON. In the case of an NG (not
readable) reading, the NG signal is output when the TRIG B is
turned OFF.
TRIG C Switches to the scene set in the communications setting menu and executes reading.
Use this function when you want to automatically switch between scenes and read them,
for example when two cameras are connected.

TRIG D Switches to the scene set in the communications setting menu and executes reading.
