Configurations

To configure the SteerROVER with the raster arm and dual probe holder

DO NOT DISCONNECT UNDER LOAD. Shut off power before connection or
disconnection. Permanent damage to the electronics could occur.

Mount and connect the umbilical to the right drive module of the SteerROVER
(see Figure 2-3 on page 48).

Connect the umbilical to the power controller.

Connect the handheld controller to the power controller using the controller
cable.

The handheld controller may also be connected directly to the umbilical.

Connect the encoder cable from the user’s instrument to the power controller.

Attach the raster arm to the SteerROVER (see “Raster Arm Module” on page 121).

Connect the raster arm cable (see “Setting Up the Raster Arm Cable” on page 128)
to the umbilical.

Plug the power cable into an appropriate power source (see “Power
Requirements” on page 219).
