Chapter 9 Troubleshooting

DANGER

•

Never use the instrument if there is any abnormality. Otherwise, the instrument may 
malfunction and the user may also be injured fatally, critically or seriously.

Inspect the equipment as described in “Chapter 3 Preparation and inspection 
before observation”, do not use the equipment if there are any obvious 
malfunctions. Contact Olympus for repairs. Should the slightest irregularity be 
suspected, do not use the instrument and see “9.1 Troubleshooting guide” (page 
171). If the problem cannot be resolved by the described remedial action, stop 
using the instrument and send it to Olympus for repair.
Olympus does not repair disposable accessory parts. In the case of malfunction, 
contact Olympus to purchase a replacement.
