Figure 2-29 The 20-centimeter bar and lead screw option—mouse scanner

The 20-centimeter bar holds one probe holder. The probe holder can be attached
directly into the dovetail groove of the 20 cm slide bar, or into one of the two dovetail
grooves of the y-axis adjustment assembly.

To use the y-axis adjustment on the 20 cm slide bar, retrieve the large red knob
assembly and one of the two small red knob assemblies from the ChainSCANNER
standard configuration (see “To replace the slide bar and the lead screw” on page 34)
and use the 20 cm lead screw instead of the standard lead screw.

The 20 cm lead screw cannot be used with the y-axis encoder.
