Mark the point directly below the center of the 

Cane Bolt

 on the 

Door Threshold

 when the 

doors are closed. Reopen the doors and drill through the Door Threshold at this point using a 7/8” 
drill bit. Check to ensure the cane bolt fits in this hole when dropped into its downward position.
