•

Restore from a local image

•

Restore from a USB storage device

•

Restore from the factory default image

If you select a restore from a USB drive, make sure to connect the USB drive to the USB connector on the Fiery ES.

Installing system software using Fiery Installer Builder

The Fiery Installer Builder is a tool that you can use to install the Fiery system software to the various types of the Fiery 
servers. Use the Fiery Installer Builder to perform the following tasks:

•

Download the Fiery system software files to a local or network storage location. 

•

Format and load the system software on a USB flash drive for system software installation. 

You can download the Fiery Installer Builder software from the from the EFI Sales Portal (

fiery.efi.com/FIB

).

Note:

The network installation method discussed in the document that comes with the Fiery Installer Builder software is 

not supported for the Fiery ES. Use the USB flash drive to install the system software.

Prerequisites

To use the Fiery Installer Builder, you need the following items:

•

Any Windows computer with: 

•

Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10

•

USB3.0 port

USB2.0 port can work, but USB3.0 is recommended for faster installation. 

•

Minimum 500MB of available memory

•

Internet connection enabled

To download the products, you need the Internet access. 

Install the Fiery Installer Builder on this Windows computer.

•

Account information

Use the account information for the EFI to authenticate to the site and download products.
