16.4 Mechanical adjustment of the main drive unit section

16.4.1

PC drive gear positioning adjustment

This adjustment must be made in the following case:
• When the color PC drum motor was removed.

See P.166

• When the main drive unit was removed.

See P.116

A. Checking method

Slowly turn the PC drive gear/1 [1], and fit the hole A [3] and B [4] with the gear holes
on the upper frame [2].

Visually check if the hole A [3] and B [4] are fit with each gear hole at the same time.

B. Adjusting method

Turn the PC drive gear/1 [1], and fit
the hole A [2] with the PC Gear/1 [1]
hole while visually checking.

Fix the PC drive gear/1 [1], and then
fit the hole B [3] with the PC drive
gear/2 [4] hole while visually check-
ing.
