16 The Print Head
Having installed the print head, the printer executes an initialization cycle that takes about
two minutes .
9. To obtain the best printing quality, never forget to align the print head (see also Completing
print head installation ).
Completing Print Head Installation
After installing a new print head, you always need to "notify" the printer's software, to obtain the
best possible print quality and an actual representation of ink level in the Printer Monitor

.
To complete print head installation:
1. Open the Printer Monitor Printer Care tab (see Opening the Printer Monitor ).
4. Run the Print Head Alignment procedure ( see below ).
2. Click on the Printer Care
tab .
3. Select the
New Head button
for the installed print head
(the colour one in this
case).
