ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MODEL WITH ELECTRICAL HEATER ELEMENT 

GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION 

Use this appliance solely as described in this manual.  Any other use not advised by the manufacturer can result in fire, electric shock or injury. 
 
• Ensure that the power supply available complies with the voltage specified on the unit’s rating plate (220-240VAC/50Hz). 
• Disconnect from the mains when not in use or while cleaning. 
• Do not use the appliance if any wires or plugs are damaged. If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an 
authorised retailer or a similarly qualified person to avoid risks. 
• Do not connect the appliance to the mains until it is fully assembled and installed. 
• This product is not a toy. Children must be duly supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. 
• This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacities, or without the 
required experience or knowledge, unless they have been supervised or instructed in the use of the appliance by a person in charge of their 
safety. 
• Do not cover the appliance or restrict airflow to the inlet or outlet grills to prevent overheating. 
• Keep a distance of at least 1 metre between the front and side of the appliance and any other object. 
• Do not use the appliance in dusty rooms or in the presence of flammable vapour (e.g. in a workshop or garage) or paints. 
• Do not use the appliance for drying clothing. 
• Do not insert the fingers or foreign objects into the air inlet or outlet grills, as this may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the fan heater. 
To prevent fire, do not block or tamper with the grills in any way. 
• The most common cause of overheating is dust deposits inside the appliance. Ensure that these deposits are removed by unplugging the 
appliance and cleaning the air outlets and grills with a vacuum cleaner. 

WARNING: DO NOT COVER THE APPLIANCE TO PREVENT OVERHEATING.

 

• Risk of fire if the fan heater is operated while covered by or in contact with flammable material, including curtains, drapes, blankets, etc. 

KEEP THE APPLIANCE AWAY FROM SUCH MATERIALS.

 

• This appliance becomes hot to the touch when in use. To prevent scalding, do not touch the hot surfaces.

OPERATION FOR HEATING (hp models) 

The heating function is activated by remote control as described in the machine manual. 
For outdoor temperatures below about 2°C, heating is achieved by activating the electrical heater elements and the fan only. For temperatures 
above about 2°C, heating is achieved via heat pump. 
Both modes are managed entirely automatically. 
In case the electric heating element is activated, the fan only operates at maximum speed.
