Installation
Follow the instructions below for the H201-T-UNIT-BL-CRYO setup:
How to setup the T-Unit
1.
Connect the 8-pins
cable between the port labeled “Control Unit” on the
side of the Heating/Cooling
Box
and the port labeled “Heating Box” on the rear panel of the T
-Unit (see Figure 5).
2.
Use the 3-pins
–
Flow Sensor Cable to connect the flow sensor attached on the blue side of
Heating/Cooling Box to the connector labeled
“
Air flow sensor
”
on the rear panel of the T-Unit (see
3.
Plug the NTC Thermistor to
the port labeled ‘Ambient Temperature’ on the rear panel of the
T-Unit
(see Figure 5). This temperature sensor must be placed in air close to the illumination pillar in
proximity to the microscope stage. This thermistor monitors the air temperature inside the cage. The
NTC thermistor can be also used to monitor the room temperature when working in Sample Feedback
Mode. In this case, you have to place it outside the cage.
4.
The Fine Gauge Thermocouple (green) plugs into the green port labeled ‘Reference Temperature’
located on the rear panel of the T-Unit (see Figure 5
). When operating the device in ‘Sample Feedback
Mode’ place this thermocouple in a Reference Well filled with water. Make sure that the end of the
Fine Gauge Thermocouple is fully immersed.
5.
Connect the 24V-DC Power adapter to the
“Power Input” port on the
rear panel of the T-Unit.
Note
►
It is strongly recommended to attach the NTC Thermistor close to the sample holder, on the side of
the stage or on the top condenser (use a standard adhesive tape to fix the sensor on those parts). Do not cover
the metal probe with the adhesive tape.
