Ethernet Troubleshooting
When communication is not possible

Is the power switch turned on?

device, such as a printer?

Is the ping command to the device
enabled?
Use another LAN cable.
Network system error
Check that LP-1030 operation is being
performed with the ping command
from the host device.
Contact the system administrator.
The IP address is not set

Are the device settings and the IP
address received from the system
administrator the same?
Set the correct IP address.
The subnet mask is not
set correctly.
Are the device settings and the
subnet mask received from the system
administrator the same?
Set the correct subnet mask.
The routing table is not
set correctly.

at the connection destination

device (multiple use of an

cached on the host device or a relay
device such as a switch. Clear the
corresponding cache table.
For settings using the
DNS server, the DNS
server is not set up, or the
IP address setting of the
DNS server on the Printer
is incorrect.
