Using SNMPv3

By using the SNMP manager that is compatible with SNMPv3, the management of this machine
can be encrypted with SNMP.

Open the web page of this machine.

•

For details on how to open it, refer to

"Opening the web page" (Page 225)

.

Log in as an administrator.

Select [Admin Setup].

4

Select [Network] - [SNMP] - [Settings].

Conﬁgure the settings by following the on-screen instructions.

6

Click [Submit].

The new settings will take eﬀect after the network function of the machine has been reset.

•

You can use a commercially-available SNMP manager to verify and change the settings of this machine. For the
MIB of this machine, refer to the supplied "Software DVD-ROM", and check the MIB deﬁnition ﬁle in [Misc] - [MIB
