Turning the power on/off
About the power supply
Observe the following conditions for the power supply.
AC Voltage: 110-127V AC (Range 99-140V AC)
220-240V AC (Range 198-264V AC)
Power supply frequency: 50/60 Hz ± 2%
• If the power supply is unstable, use a voltage regulator.
•
The maximum power consumption of this machine is 650W. Check that there is sufficient voltage capacity.
•
The machine may not work properly if an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) or inverter is used. Do not use an
uninterruptible power supply or inverter.
WARNING
Otherwise a fire may be caused.
•
Be sure to turn off the power before connecting or disconnecting the power cord.
• Be sure to hold the power plug when connecting or disconnecting the power cord.
• Be sure to insert the power cord all the way into the outlet.
• Do not connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands.
• Do not lay the power cord in a place where it may be stepped on, and do not place
anything on the power cord.
• Do not bundle or bind the power cord in use.
• Do not use a damaged power cord.
• Do not overload the outlet.
• Do not connect this machine and any other electric appliances to the same outlet. In
particular, if this machine shares a same outlet with an air conditioner, copier, shredder,
etc., this machine may malfunction due to electrical noise. If this machine has to share
an outlet with other appliances, use a commercially available noise filter or noise cut
transformer.
•
Use the power cord provided with this machine and plug it directly into the outlet. Do not
use a power cord for other products with this machine.
• Do not use any extension cables with this machine. If it is unavoidable, use one with a
rating of 10A or higher.
• If an extension cord is used, this machine may malfunction due to lower AC voltage.
•
Do not turn off the power or unplug the power cord during printing.
•
Unplug the power cord if it will be leave unused for a long period of time due to holidays or
traveling.
• Do not use the power cord that comes with this machine for any other products.
