Expanding Memory
The optional 1 MB Memory Expansion Board (Part 70029701) will increase printer memory to 2 MB. The board
also provides a socket for installation of an additional SIMM module for expanding memory up to 18 MB. A 1, 2,
4, 8, or 16 MB SIMM module can be installed.
The following SIMM modules have been tested and approved for use in the Okipage 6e printer.
1 MB x 32bit (70ns card type) (Okidata Part 70019801) Toshiba THM321020SG-70
2 MB x 32bit (70ns card type) (Okidata Part 70019901) Toshiba THM322020AS-70
4 MB x 32 bit (70ns card type) (Okidata Part 70028801) Toshiba THM324000S-70
When purchasing generic SIMM memory modules, use the following specifications:
2 MB SIMM (512 KB x 32 bit, 72 pin, 70ns, non-parity)
4 MB SIMM (1 MB x 32 bit, 72 pin, 70ns, non-parity)
8 MB SIMM (2 MB x 32 bit, 72 pin, 70ns, non-parity)
16 MB SIMM (4 MB x 32 bit, 72 pin, 70ns, non-parity)
Note: 8 and 16 MB SIMM modules are commercially available
