Clearing a Paper Misfeed 21

1 TROUBLESHOOTING FOR THE HARDWARE

Paper misfeed in the MPT

Pull out the right-hand tray and remove the misfed
paper.

Check that there is no folded/curled paper or
overloading, and then close the tray of the Large
Capacity Feeder.

Be sure that the height of the stacked paper does not exceed the
line indicated inside of the side guides.

Move the green paper holding lever toward the
outside.

The paper can now be removed.

Pull out the misfed paper in the MPT.

Place paper in the MPT again and then move the
green paper holding lever toward the inside.

If a sheet of paper is stained, folded or torn, replace it with a new one.
