6. MAINTENANCE
6.1 Cleaning
WARNING : Electric Shock Hazard. Disconnect the equipment from
the power supply before cleaning.
Make sure that no liquid enters the interior of the instrument.
Attention: Do not use solvents, harsh chemicals, ammonia or
abrasive cleaning agents.
The housing may be cleaned with a cloth dampened with a mild detergent if
necessary.
6.2 Troubleshooting
The following table lists common problems and possible causes and remedies. If
the problem persists, contact OHAUS or your authorized dealer.

Err 8.1
A wrong weighing pan is used when
power on. Use OHAUS original weighing
pan before power on.
The load on the pan is over the
initial weight setting. Remove the load from the pan
before power on.
Err 8.2
A wrong weighing pan is used when
power on. Use OHAUS original weighing
pan before power on.
The pan is not installed when power
on. Install the weighing pan before
power on.
Err 8.3
The weight on the pan is too heavy.
Reduce sample size until the
weight is within the weighing
capacity.
