The initial pressure of the expansion vessel must be set according to the system
operating pressure, i.e. the initial pressure must be 0.1 bar lower than the system
operating pressure. The operating pressure must be 1.0 bar at height of the collectors
when the system is cold. It is thus important to consider the static height of the system
when setting the operating pressure.
Note: The expansion vessel is not set for the system when being delivered.

The collectors are mounted at a static height of 8m.
To achieve an operating pressure of 1.0 bar the static pressure of 0.8 bar must be added.
The operating pressure must be set to 1.8 bar (according to the pressure gauge) at 20°C.
Thus the initial pressure of the expansion vessel must be set to 1.7 bar.
With 4flex
®
collectors up to 150 tubes can be connected in series. For larger assemblies
we recommend to connect the tubes according to the Tichelmann principle.
For full load, every square meter absorber area requires a flow rate of approx. 60 l/h
(1 l/min). With solar systems larger than 100 tubes, the flow rate should be set to 42 l/h
(0.7 l/min) for full load.
