4.7 Operating program heat pump

4.8 Evaporator defrosting
If the air inlet temperature is too low, the heat pump evap-
orator is defrosted as required. For this purpose, the
evaporator temperature is measured and monitored with
temperature sensor F3.

Defrosting is automatically activated when the
evaporator temperature is below 0°C for more than
120 minutes.

Defrosting causes the evaporator temperature to rise
again.
►
The defrosting process is logged as successful if
the evaporator temperature rises above 6°C within
20 minutes. If this is not the case, the defrosting pro-
cess is logged as unsuccessful. Two further attempts
are made.

If these defrost attempts are also unsuccessful, the
heat pump stops and error message Er47 appears on
the display.

heating. It is controlled to target value c17.

4.8.1 Manual defrosting
Defrosting can be started manually if the evaporator tem-
perature is between -12°C and 6°C.
Set the heat pump operating mode to “defr” to start manual
defrosting.
Once defrosting has completed successfully, the heat
pump switches back to automatic mode.
