7.2 Safety functions
Following safety features are implemented from
both Hard- and Software:
-
electronic control and safety devices for the
compressor and energy circulation pump
(brine or well pump).
-
High pressure Pressostat
-
Start delay to avoid
compressor chopping.
-
Frost protection function
-
start-up- and run-down times of the fans
-
monitoring the flow rates
7.3 Appliance function
7.3.1 Heating circuit
The heating circuits operate fully automatically
weather-dependent, along with a summer/winter
switching.
7.3.2 Hot water
Hot water heating takes place via the set value
setting. The efficiency of the system can be in-
creased with a hot water timer program.
7.3.3 Anti-Legionella switching
In order to protect against Legionella, the hot wa-
ter must be regularly heated to a temperature of
minimum 60°C. The anti-Legionella protection
function operates automatically and can be con-
trolled by means of a timer program. Depending
on the type of system, the electrical auxiliary
heater will be activated.
7.4 System operation
7.4.1 Running costs
During the first heating season, higher running
costs can generally be expected, depending on the
residual moisture in the building - up to 50%.
7.4.2 Flow temperatures
In order to achieve an optimum heat pump oper-
ation, the lowest possible heating system flow
temperatures (and hot water temperatures) are to
be aimed at. The maximum system temperature
for the "plus" Series is to be limited to 60°C, and
all other models to max. 50°C.
NOTE:
An increase of the room temperature by 1°C
means a 5-7% increase in energy consumption.
7.5 Ventilation
Intermittent intensive ventilation
according to
own requirements should be carried out, espe-
cially during the heating period. Intermittent in-
tensive ventilation is much more energy-efficient
and thus more economical. Continuous ventilation
should be avoided on principle.
7.6 Screed flooring drying
It is not permitted to dry out a building (screed
floor,
residual moisture from materials) with a brine
heat pump. Drying out with the heat pump leads
to a loss in efficiency, frost formation with ground
upheaval, up to system malfunction.
NOTE for brine-water heat pumps:
An E-heating rod element (accessory) is to be in-
stalled in the buffer/header tank flow to the heat
pump in order to remove building moisture!
At the end of the drying out program, the electric
emergency/auxiliary heater can be disconnected if
it is not needed for the normal appliance opera-
tion. Please note that the emergency operation
cannot be activated during the drying out pro-
gram.
