Data Retrieval
The icListen has 256 GB of internal memory for storing recorded data. This data can be retrieved
using the web interface ( “Data - Retreive” on page 21 ), Lucy, or through FTP/SCP using an FTP
client such as FileZilla. Note: FTP requires no username or password. For SCP, the username is
“icListen”, the port is 22, and by default there is no password.
For small amounts of data, the hydrophone web interface or Lucy can be used to download the
files. For large amounts of data, Ocean Sonics recommends FTP file transfer (The Filezilla ftp
client is provided on the icListen USB stick) or the Ocean Sonics Array Data Manager program.
Data Retrieval using Lucy
1. Open Lucy.
2. Connect to icListen.
3. Click icListen icon in Files panel.
4. Select Files to download by checking boxes
next to files.
5. Choose Destination Directory.
6. Click Retrieve.
7. Files may take a few minutes to download,
and at any point during the process, the file
retrieval can be cancelled. Cancelling will not
harm the files in the unit.
