7. Installation
– Be sure to read and observe the safety instructions prior to installation!
– Compare the electrical data of the supply grid with that of the type label.
This data
must be consistent.
– Install the Bitron at least 6 feet from the edge of the pond!
– Position the Bitron so that it will not be emmersed in water.
– Put the Bitron where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight!
– Lay the hoses and the connecting lead in such a way that they do not
present an obstacle and cannot be damaged!
– You must read and follow the safety instructions before the installation!
– The Bitron devices 18C are suitable for a pump capacity of up to
3960 Gph (15000 l/h). The flow rate on the UVC bulb should not exceed
– 580 Gph (2200 l/h) for Bitron 18C
(see “8.1 Bypass setting”)
– The Bitron devices 36C/55C are suitable for a pump capacity of up to
7920 Gph (30000 l/h). The flow rate on the UVC bulb should not exceed
– 1190 Gph (4500 l/h) for Bitron 36C
– 1720 Gph (6500 l/h) for Bitron 55C
(see “8.1 Bypass setting”)
– Please select the filtration system according to Table 7 (page 47).
Selection criteria: Pond size and with/without fish stock).
