Make sure you have the debug adapter connected to the PC, and the

SJA1105SMBEVM connected to the adapter and powered up before continuing.

•

When activating the debug configuration, you can see the actions behind the

scenes on the console window. Usually this involves connecting to the GDB
server in the debug probe, erasing the flash, downloading and writing the
program image to the flash, and starting the downloaded image.

•

If everything went well, you will see the debug view (a combination of windows and

sub-windows well adapted for debugging), and the main window will show, that
the program has stopped on “main()” and is expecting user input (see Fig 14).

•

If you select Run -> Run (or Ctrl-F11), the program continues, and you should see

the Link-LEDs blinking with a characteristic startup test pattern. After that, the
Alive-LED D3 is blinking at a steady rate.
