In any case, the settings in the Access Points, the PC, and the
Rugboard have to match, whereas no IP Address is allowed to
exist twice.
If you do not work with the originally preconfigured Acces points,
but change configuration, or use different Access points, you
lose the possibility for Support.
4.5.1 Preparation
With the access point powered up, press the small reset button
on its front for more than 10 seconds. Afterwards, unplug and
replug the power supply for the access point. It is now back to
factory settings, e.g. IP address 192.168.0.1.
Connect the access point to the LAN port of the PC, using the
network cable that came with the access point. Use one of the
network ports, not the single WAN port on the access point.
4.5.2 Reconfigure PC
Configure the LAN card of the PC so that it has a TCP/IP address
of 192.168.0.2. To do so, go to Windows Desktop. ‘My Network
Places’ -> right-click -> Properties.
On ‘Local Area Connection 3’, right-click -> properties.
Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click ‘Properties’
Select ‘Use the following IP address’ (fixed IP address), and
enter 192.168.100.2. Clicking in the field with the Subnet Mask
should automatically yield 255.255.255.0. Close all the open
windows using the ‘ok’ buttons.
