3.3.2 Select mouseclick function
Any touch of the tap stick (8) on the screen is normally equivalent
to a left click with the mouse. For those applications that require
a right click, you can use this icon, that allows to switch between
left click and right click. The icon shows the setting currently
used.
3.3.3 WLAN connectivity indicator
The colour of the indicator represents the status of the connec-
tion, the length of the bar symbolizes connection quality. The
following status are possible:
- Red: It was impossible to establish communication. Commu-
nication mode, SSID, and/or WEP key are incorrect, or no
other station within radio range.
- Yellow: Connection to an access point is established, but no
IP address was assigned. This is the case if you selected
DHCP-mode instead of fixed IP address in the setup of the
rugboard, but DHCP was not enabled in the access point.
Using original, preconfigured components, this should not
happen.
- Green: Connection established ok.
3.3.4 Battery indicator
The length of the bar indicates the remaining charge of the
battery. When power supply is plugged in, a plug symbol is
shown instead.
3.3.5 Volume
Sound settings are not being used with the operating system
GoWIN.

The rocker switch (5)
The rocker switch can be predefined in the setup with various key
commands. These are:
- + / -
- Page up / Page down
- Cursor up / Cursor down
- Cursor left / Cursor right
To execute the desired function, press the rocker switch in one
of the four directions.

The server selection button (2)
You have the option to configure multiple PCs as Servers at the
same time. Pressing the server selection button will stop the
actual remote control session, and shows a list of all preconfigu-
red servers. You cann then select one of the list for the next
remote control session.

Two System models
The Rugboard can be used for the following two completely
different system setups:
a)
'Peer-to-peer Mode' (also refered to as 'Adhoc Mode'): The
Rugboard 'talks' directly to a PC, an Access Point is not
used. Advantage: Simple and fast configuration. Disadvan-
tage: Limited range.
b)
'Infrastructure Mode' with Access point(s): The Rugboard
communicates across an infrastructure of one or more
access points (these are special accessories) with the PC.
Advantage: better range and radio coverage. Disadvantage:
More hardware required, more complicated configuration.
You switch between these two system models in the network
configuration in Setup, as descibed in chapter 4.
