Getting started
Information
• If excessive movement (shakiness, impact, etc.) is given to the
terminal, Motion may not function correctly because of sensor
characteristic.
• If you wear dark color glove or perform gesture operation out of
the sensor recognition range, Gesture may not function correctly
because of sensor characteristic.
• The way to use the same app on multiple accounts with Dual
Messenger differs depending on the app.
• To delete the second Dual Messenger app, tap → "UNINSTALL"
of the app that you want to delete on the Dual Messenger screen.
Also If you delete first (Main) app, second app is deleted.
S pen
You can do the basic actions using S Pen such as touching,
dragging, and zooming in/out instead of using finger. In addition, you
can draw the figure or character, or do various functions using S
Pen.

Pull out the S Pen
• The head of the S Pen is a push button switch, To pull out the S Pen,
push the head and pull out until it pops out of the device.
• When pulling out the S Pen, make sure to pull it straight out.
• When you insert the S Pen into the slot, check that it is not sticking out
at all.
• When you take out the S Pen, Air Command or Galaxy Notes is activated
(P.42).
• Pull out the S Pen from the terminal when the screen is OFF, screen off
memo is launched (P.41).
S Pen precautions
• Do not bend or apply excessive force when using S Pen.
• If you use the S Pen at acute angles to the screen, the device may not
recognize the S Pen functions.
• Some apps may not be able to use the function of S Pen.
Exchanging the stylus nib
S Pen has a rubber cap at the edge of the stylus nib. When the cap
becomes worn out, replace it with a new stylus nib.

Pinch the stylus nib firmly with tweezer and pull it out to the
direction of the arrow

Insert the new stylus nib to the parallel direction of the
arrow until it stops
• Make sure that the orientation of the pen tip so that it does not insert
the round end of the nib into the S Pen.

Information
• Two different kinds of the stylus nibs, one hard type nib (for
replacement) and one soft type nib (for replacement), are provided for
replacement so you can experience the various writing touch.
• If the S Pen is not working properly, contact Galaxy customer support
center.
