Turning power ON/OFF
Turning power ON

Press [Power/Screen lock key] for 2 seconds or longer
• The starting screen appears, and then the lock screen appears.
• When you turn the power on for the first time, make the initial
settings following to the onscreen instructions (P.47).

■ Checking the radio wave condition
An icon indicating radio wave reception level appears on the status bar
(P.49).
When appears, you are out of LTE/FOMA service area or in a place
where the radio wave cannot reach.
Turning power OFF

Press [Power/Screen lock key] for 1 second or longer

"Power off" → "Power off"
• The terminal vibrates and power turns off.
Setting/Canceling screen lock
You can set the screen lock to prevent the erroneous operation of the
touch screen or keys.
• When the display is turned off with "Screen timeout" (P.130) set, the
screen lock activates automatically after about five seconds.
Setting screen lock

Press [Power/Screen lock key]
• The display turns off and the screen lock is set.
Canceling screen lock

During the screen lock, press [Power/Screen lock key]/
tap and hold [Home button].
• Lock screen appears.

• Swipe to the center of screen, edge panel is displayed (P.52).

Information
• When notification information for missed calls or others arrives during
the screen lock, the notification information may be displayed on the
lock screen.
• You can change the unlock method of the screen lock (P.135).
