TEST EPIRB – EPIRB Testing Sets
The menu TEST EPIRB includes the following submenus:
TEST AUTO (406+121)
– complex C/S test;
Both 406MHz and 121.5MHz channels are
tested automatically;
TEST CH 406 MHz
– testing of
406MHz
channel;
TEST CH 121 MHz
– testing of 121.5MHz
channel;
TEST CH 243 MHz
– testing of 243MHz
channel.

TEST AUTO (406+121)
In this mode the tester will automatically measure all EPIRB’s parameters in
channels 406MHz and 121.5MHz.
The following tests will be done in 406MHz channel:

demodulation and decoding of received message;
-
measurement of carrier frequency;
-
measurement of signal power level;
-
measurement of total transmission time;
-
measurement of unmodulated carrier time;
-
measurement of signal phase deviation.
And in 121.5MHz channel NGT-200 will measure:
-
carrier frequency;
-
signal power level in antenna;
-
amplitude modulation depth.
TEST AUTO (406+121)
– complex C/S test;
Just press
Enter
to start measurements. First
the Tester waits for a signal in 406MHz channel;
then it switches for testing of 121.5MHz channel
and waits for a signal during 7 seconds.
Operational channel on frequency 406MHz is
detected automatically, thus there is no need to
input it manually.
