Installation

Connecting the handpiece (PX65 and PX65L only):

To connect the handpiece and motor, align the positioning marks of the motor and the handpiece

and insert straightly. This procedure will also align the light receptagle and allow you to use

illumination if your handpiece and motor are equipped for illumination.
To disconnect, hold the front part of the motor and the back part of the handpiece and pull out

straightly.

Caution!  Do not connect or disconnect the handpiece until the motor has completely stopped.

Inserting the tool:

Always use cleaned tools! For new instruments, which are to be used for the first time, start
with cleaning.

Rotary instruments should be stored at room temperature in their original packaging where
they are protected against dust and moisture until used for the first time

After usage they have to be disinfected, cleaned and if necessary sterilized. (refer to chapter
“General care, maintenance and repair”)

Insert only dry instruments into the handpiece!

Insert the tool, e.g. a suitable grinder, into the tool holding fixture until it reaches the stop
point. Instruments must be inserted as deep as possible. Make sure that the tool is seated

firmly in order to prevent any loosening of the tool during work.

Connection of the foot switch (optional):

Insert the plug of the foot switch into the connecting plug on the right side of the device
below the fixing hole for the hand-piece.

Mains supply:

Connect the supplied power cable with the power inlet on the right side of the device.

Caution!  Check the voltage (V) specified on the label before connecting the device to the supply

voltage.

Plug the power cord into a wall outlet with adequate protection contact.

The device is now ready for operation.

Filling the water tank:

Check that there is sufficient water in the water tank.

The following fluids can be used as spray fluid: distilled water/ethanol (80/20 % v/v )
solution, 70 % ethanol solution. We recommend the use of distilled water without

any

additives.

Caution!  The water tank (2) is pluggable connected to the device.

Press the outlet valve before removing the water tank.

Remove it backwards by triggering the interlock (pulling forward).

Unscrew the cup from the water tank.
The water tank must always be kept clean; otherwise particles of dust can block

the spray function in the handpiece.

After filling close the screw cap carefully and plug the tank into the two couplings on the rear of

the device. You can feel if it snaps in. Please check if the couplings are locked.
