Perform test run
The automatic test run must be performed to ensure that the coin validator
"learns" and stores which vending machine components were connected
and must be controlled. Starting from the test run, all interfaces that have not
been assigned, e.g. only three and not all five product ejector interfaces, are
considered "not available". In addition, all components driven by a motor are
moved into their final position or initial position.
The handing-out of goods is only simulated if the chutes are empty.
1
Unhook the coin validator and set the eighth
DIL switch of the upper switching block on
the rear of the device upward to ON.
The operating elements on the additional
control PCB are no longer inhibited and can now be operated.
2
Hang the coin validator back in the machine.
3
Insert a coin into the coin validator.
The coin validator is now in the wake-up mode and no longer in the
sleep mode.
4
Press button
3
on the additional control PCB (see Fig. 2c).
The coin validator is now in the test mode and no longer in the
operating mode and activates an automatic test run in the following
order: return mechanism, escrow – return mechanism, escrow –
cash-box, product ejectors 1–5, green LED, red LED, acoustic signal
5
If the operating elements on the additional control PCB are to be inhibited
in normal operation, unhook the coin validator again, set the eighth DIL
switch of the upper switching block S1 downward again (to OFF) and
hang the coin validator back in the vending machine.
