Safety
• Avoid looking directly into the light source. Doing so may damage your eyesight.
• Only use the recommended type of rechargeable batteries.
• This product must not be modified or adapted in any way.
• Only let a qualified technician perform repairs and using only original spare parts.
• Do not let children play with the product.
• NEVER use non-rechargeable batteries in the light.
Note:
The light has two brightness settings:
• When it is dark outdisde, the light shines decoratively.
• When someone walks past the light within 2–3 m, the light shines even brighter for about
15 seconds before returning to the decorative lighting setting.
Care and maintenance
Clean the product using a soft, moist cloth. Only use mild detergents; never use solvents or
strong, abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning as these can damage the product. Set the power
switch to
OFF
before putting the light away for storage.
Troubleshooting guide
The light doesn’t come on.
• Make sure the power switch is in the
ON
position.
• The batteries are inserted incorrectly.
• The batteries are flat. Charge the batteries.
• The light does not come on in full daylight
even if the power switch is set to
ON
.
The light comes on randomly.
• Move the light to another place.
The light only shines for a short while at night. • See that the light is charged for at least
8 hours.
The PIR sensor does not work.
• Make sure that the sensor is directed
towards where people walk.
The light still shines despite a long time
having elapsed since anyone walked past.
• Move the light away from strong winds,
air conditioning units or air vents.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local council.

Assembly
1. The tube is threaded for ease of assembly.
2. When used in the ground: make sure that
the washer under the baseplate fits into
the alignment pins. Then screw the ground
spike on.
3. When used on a wooden floor: screw the base-
plate to the floor using the three screws without
attaching the ground spike.
4. Attach the lamp head to the pole using the four
included screws. Lock the lamp head in place
using the larger screw.
Operating instructions
1. Remove the diffuser of the lamp by turning
it clockwise.
2. Set the power switch to
OFF
and let the light
charge in the sunlight for 1–2 days before use.
Refit the diffuser.
3. Once the light has been charged, remove
the diffuser and set the power switch to
ON
.
Refit the diffuser.
