Module installation and connection

The first figure shows the 8003, 8006, and 8010 chassis; the
second figure shows the 8010co chassis.

Pull the filler panel away from the slot.

Do not operate a chassis without either a filler panel or a module
installed in a slot.

Installing a filler panel

If you plan to remove a module from the chassis without immediately
replacing it, you must install a filler panel in the slot. To maintain proper
airflow and cooling, always cover unused module slots and power supply
bays with filler panels.
