Note:

JDM installation procedures are standardized across all platforms. In

addition, the required Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.4.1 is part of
the JDM installation package and does not require a separate installation. The
bundled JRE is used with this JDM only, and does not affect other Java
applications on the same system.

Note:

With Solaris and HP-UX, certain OS patches are required for JRE and

JDM to function properly. Please consult SUN or HP to install the appropriate
OS patches before launching JDM.

Note:

UNIX and Linux systems are case-sensitive. Use lower-case to specify

file names, and check to ensure that directories are entered correctly.
