7. Orient the air inlet tubes vertically in relation to the upper and lower
cylinder plates.
8. Tighten the cap nuts and ring nuts evenly in a criss-cross pattern with
two wrenches.
Control Axle Assembly
1. If the connecting rod (55) is not projecting out of the upper cylinder plate
do one of the following:
S
Insert a M8 bolt through the upper cylinder plate and screw it into the
rod, then pull the rod up through the cover.
S
Carefully push up on the motor axle until the connecting rod projects
through the cover.
2. Press the dampening spacer (44) onto the connecting rod.
3. Clean all grease off the connecting rod.
4. Install the carrier (25) with the hole facing down onto the connecting rod.
5. Apply removable threadlock adhesive to the threads of the control
axle (35).
6. Use two wrenches to screw the control axle into the connecting rod.
7. Press the dampening spacer (24) onto the control axle.
8. Lightly grease the upper rim of the larger OD of the control axle,
dampening spacers, carrier, and guide axle.
9. Install the O-rings (26, 43) into the upper cylinder plate.
Lower Control Housing Assembly
1. Install the sintered bearing (22) into the bottom of the lower control
housing (16).
2. Use retaining ring pliers to install the retaining ring (23) into the groove
in the lower control housing.
3. Screw both check valves (81, 86) and fittings (80, 85) into the two 1/4 in.
holes in the sides of the lower control housing.
4. Connect the control valve (77) and air connector (78) to the tee (76) and
the air inlet.
5. Install the air tubes (79, 84) between the tee and the check valves.
6. Install the lower control housing (16) onto the upper cylinder plate so
that the air inlet is facing to the rear. The pin (27) in the bottom of the
lower housing must fit into the corresponding hole in the upper cylinder
plate.
7. Install the six screws and washers (38, 39) through the lower control
housing and into the upper cylinder plate and tighten them in a
criss-cross pattern.
8. Apply removable threadlock adhesive to the four studs (8) and screw
them into the lower control housing.
9. Check the movement of the control axle (35). It should move freely
without sticking. If there is any friction, loosen the cap nuts (28) and
re-align the upper cylinder plate (31).
